Shana Moulton

The art of Shana Moulton is alternately entertaining, confounding, hilarious, and sort of insane. Which, give or take, is hopefully what the artist herself is going for. There’s really no telling what folks are in for May 6 when Moulton teams up with Los Angeles-based merry pranksters Lucky Dragons. Will it be comprehensible? Maybe. Fun? Yes.

Céleste Boursier-Mougenot

Finally, an internet meme we can all be proud of. Yay! Of course, we’re talking about Paris-based audio sorcerer Céleste Boursier-Mougenot’s show at London’s Barbican. If you haven’t seen the clip yet, now. Maybe it’s the gleaming white, tuned down Gibson guitars, but this project sort of reminds us of Sunn O)))’s “” project with Banks Violette back in 2008. On the other hand, we think we’ve seen zebra finches elsewhere. Whatever the case, it’s rad; and if you’re in London, we’re jealous.

Art Spiegelman is a titan. The creator of the landmark Maus graphic novel (which won a Pulitzer in 1992) as well as RAW magazine (which originally serialized it), the man casts a long pall over the world of American comics and arts in general. Thirty Days is truly honored to have Spiegelman in conversation with old friend and mentor, the filmmaker Ken Jacobs on May 5. Don’t miss out on this special opportunity.

creates videos that tread the fine line between surreally beautiful and suspenseful. Above is the trailer for one of our favorites, Coagulate, it can be seen in its entirety . You can learn a little more about his mindset in this enlightening interview. We can’t wait to see what he creates next.

Zak Kitnick

Zak Kitnick is an artist who flirts with the obtuse, creating “a complex intersection of interior design, commodity production, and class envy” in his works. Those works range from collages to posters to works of Sharpie-on-paper to sculptures made of power-coated aluminum fencing. His website is the ingeniously-titled http://www.abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyZAK.info. Enjoy!
